LIVERPOOL Wins turnaround Approval for cruise ships

Exciting news today with the confirmation that the city of Liverpool will be able to cater for turnaround voyages for cruise passengers using the Cruise Terminal, a new planning application will be put to build a new Customs and Baggage facility, the first cruise ship likely to depart on a cruise from the new Pier Head Terminal will the "OCEAN COUNTESS" on the 29th of May, amazing news for the cruising Industry and particulary for the city of LIVERPOOL. TITANIC and LIVERPOOL, the untold story

To mark the 100 years of the sinking of "TITANIC", the Merseyside Maritime Museum will explore Liverpool's central role in the TITANIC story, this exhibition will start on the 30Th of March and will run for at least one year, please for all information visit www.liverpoolmuseums.org.uk

The CUNARD building in Liverpool

The prestigious CUNARD building in Liverpool was built between 1914 and 1917, it was once the headquarters of the shipping company CUNARD STEAMSHIP, the building provided administration, accommodation and ship design facilities. In 1960 CUNARD vacated the buiding and moved their operations for Southampton, the property was purchased in 2001 by Merseyside Pension Fund and today is occupied by private organisations developing local business, photos from 26th August and 15th September during the visit of QUEEN MARY 2 to the city
